What the extension does

Retrieve full-text papers

For free and open-access papers, the extension finds PDF download links automatically. For subscription content, it can use access provided by your network or university library, but it never bypasses a paywall you are not authorized to access.

Save papers to a workspace

Save papers found by Acadwrite directly to a project workspace and build a focused knowledge base for your subfield.

Analyze papers with an agent

Agents can read full-text papers in your workspace to extract data, summarize methods, compare sources, and support writing.

Manual installation guide

Download the package, then follow these steps to install it.

Download the extension archive

Select Download extension above to save the ZIP file to your computer.

Extract the files

Extract the downloaded .zip file to a permanent folder and do not delete it.

Open extension management

Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar and enable Developer mode in the upper-right corner.

Load the unpacked extension

Select Load unpacked in the upper-left corner and choose the folder you extracted.

Installation complete

After installation, a bird icon appears in the sidebar of Acadwrite literature-search results, confirming that the extension is ready.
