How to search literature with AI
- 1
Enter a topic
Describe it in one line, optionally limiting sources, paper language and publication years.
- 2
Expand into queries
The topic is expanded into multiple queries from angles such as core terms, key materials, characterization and theory.
- 3
Search and screen
Several academic databases are searched in parallel; duplicates and off-topic hits are removed, then you choose which papers to keep.
- 4
Group and trace trends
Papers are grouped by research direction with a summary of each, and the shift in focus is traced year by year.
Thorough to search, quick to read
All examples come from one real public search: the formation mechanism of fluorinated SEI in lithium batteries.
One topic, searched from many angles
The topic becomes multiple queries, each noting the angle it covers, including synonyms and different phrasing conventions.
Off-topic results are screened out first
Results from several databases are deduplicated and filtered for relevance to the topic, and you make the final choice of what to keep.
Titles translated into Chinese
Each paper's title and abstract come with a Chinese translation, alongside authors, journal, year and citation count, so you can decide what to read at a glance.
Grouped by research direction
Papers are grouped by research direction, each with a summary and key works, and the trend view traces how the focus shifted year by year.

AI paper search FAQ
Didn't find your answer? Each search costs 1 credit; see credit details. See credit details
Are the papers real?
Yes. They are real results returned by academic databases, each listing authors, journal, year and citation count, and you can open the original.
Which databases are searched?
English journal articles, arXiv preprints and PubMed, plus Chinese journal articles. You can limit paper language and publication years.
How many papers does one search find?
It depends on the topic. The fluorinated SEI example returned about 266 hits, kept 164 relevant papers and grouped them into 6 directions.
Can it search Chinese literature?
Yes. Choose Chinese to search Chinese journals, or both languages to search both.
How is this different from Google Scholar?
Databases return a keyword result list. Here the topic is expanded into multiple queries, results are merged, deduplicated and screened, then grouped by direction with a trend summary, saving you from writing queries and sorting papers yourself.
Can I export to Zotero or EndNote?
Yes. Results export to BibTeX / RIS, and you can copy APA citations.
How do I write a literature review afterwards?
Click Literature review on the results page and the papers go into the workspace, where it drafts a reading list and outline, then writes the review chapter by chapter with real citations.
How much does it cost?
Sign-in is required. Each search costs 1 credit; workspace conversations afterwards are charged by usage. See the credits page for details.
